Hopkinsville Community College is offering a course during the summer, titled the Pathfinder Summer Bridge program, in the hope of preparing students for life in a college setting.
HCC Academic Success Center Director Kanya Allen appeared on WHOP Monday morning and says they’re excited to offer this free program, with a focus on transitioning students into college—it starts on July 12 and goes through August 6.
She says this selective program is perfect for students just leaving high school and while applications are still available, they’ll only be accepting 20 participants.
Allen says those who complete the course will receive college credit hours, learn from local leaders, and earn a text book scholarship and a laptop.
The application can be found on the Hopkinsville Community College website—more information can be found on their Facebook page or by calling Allen at 270-707-3827.
