2nd region winner Lyon County is headed to the KHSAA State Tournament in Lexington next week after defeating 3rd region winner Owensboro Catholic 4-3 in 8 innings Saturday at WKU’s Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green. The Lyons- now 28-7- will meet Whitley County at 4 pm Central time Thursday in Lexington.
1st region winner McCracken County walked off 4th region winner Bowling Green 5-4 to advance to next week’s state tournament in Lexington. The Mustangs improve to 33-5 and will play Collins in Lexington Wednesday at 4 pm.
