Ronald Acuna Jr. reclaimed a tie for the league lead in home runs with his 18th of the year as the Atlanta Braves picked up a comeback 9-5 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Atlanta trailed by one heading into the eighth before exploding for five runs to extend the team’s winning streak to three games. The series continues tonight in Philadelphia.

Anthony Rizzo and the Chicago Cubs took care of business beating the Padres 7-1 in San Diego. Rizzo drove in four runs with a home run and double for Chicago. Rookie Patrick Wisdom went deep for his seventh long ball in his last nine games. The series concludes this afternoon.

Interleague

The Cleveland Indians exploded for double digits against the St. Louis Cardinals and cruised to a 10-1 win. Shane Bieber collected victory number seven on the season after a strong six inning performance to extend the Cardinals’ losing streak to six games. Cleveland will look to sweep the two-game set tonight.
