Due to delays in lab testing and reporting, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported on 36 new cases of COVID-19 in the Commonwealth Monday.
The low number is caused by the delays in lab testing, with no report given at all on Sunday, and officials intend to report all accurate cases once they become available. Along with that, there were five reported deaths Monday, putting the death toll at 7,103. The positivity rate dropped to 2.28 percent.
There are currently 283 Kentuckians in the hospital with COVID-19, 92 in the ICU and 57 on a ventilator.
Christian, Todd and Trigg Counties are all labelled as ‘yellow’ on the state incidence rate map.
