Hopkinsville’s season ends in third loss of the season to Lyon County in 2nd Region semis

The Hopkinsville Tigers saw their season end in a 4-2 loss to Lyon County in semifinal action. It was the Lyons third win of the season over the Tigers. Hopkinsville had a 2-1 lead after the top of the fourth inning, then the Lyons scored the three runs they needed to win.The Tigers were held to just five hits-with Landon Cook getting two of them. Logan Durst in relief of Preston Chadouin took the pitching loss. Hopkinsville finishes the season 21-10 while Lyon County improved to 27-7.

Henderson County won the other semifinal game defeating Crittenden County 6-4. The Colonels and Lyon County will meet in the 2nd region title game scheduled for 7 this evening at University Heights Academy-weather permitting.
