The Cincinnati Reds will be without utility man Nick Senzel indefinitely as he recovers from knee surgery. The team announced yesterday that Senzel had an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee, which manager David Bell described as a cleanup. The 25-year-old Senzel has been out since May 17th. The timeline for this type of surgery is between four to six-weeks, but the team said they are planning to be cautious to make sure Senzel heals properly.

ESPN reports the Tennessee Titans are a “long shot” to acquire Julio Jones from the Atlanta Falcons in a trade. The Titans are one of a few teams reportedly interested in getting the wide receiver. It’s also reported a trade could happen sometime next week.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is sounding optimistic about working out a contract extension. Speaking to reporters, the former Louisville said he’s not looking to leave anytime soon. Jackson says that he’s not really worried about whether a deal gets done this year or next. The Ravens recently exercised Jackson’s fifth-year option on his rookie deal, locking up their former NFL MVP for the 2022 season.

Tiger Woods spoke today for the first team since his February crash in Los Angeles. Woods told Golf Digest in an interview the rehab from the accident is more painful than anything he has experienced. The 45-year-old Woods sustained serious injuries to his right leg, ankle and foot.
Jordan Spieth is the early leader at the PGA Tour’s Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TX. Spieth birdied his last three holes to open with a seven under par 63. PGA champion Phil Mickelson-playing with Spieth had a three over 73. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is playing this afternoon.

The spotter of defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott-Edward D’Hondt-was arrested earlier this month in Catawba County and charged with battery on an unborn child and assault on a female, according to online North Carolina judicial records. D’Hondt has been suspended by NASCAR and Hendrick Motorsports following the arrest.
