Hopkinsville police arrested a woman Tuesday night at a Canton Street home on a burglary charge.
An arrest citation for 47-year old April McGhee of Hopkinsville says she entered a home in the 2700 block of Canton Street without permission and assaulted a 29-year old woman inside.
The report says the victim fought back in self-defense, though McGee told officers that she was allowed in and that she was assaulted by the resident.
McGee was charged with second-degree burglary.
Alcohol is listed as a factor on the report.
