Mickelson at 50 wins PGA Championship

Phil Mickelson made history in taking home the PGA Championship at the Kiawah Island Ocean Course. Lefty became the oldest golfer to win a major, winning at 50 years old. It’s his sixth-career major. Mickelson had an up-and-down day, shooting a one-over 73, but finished at six-under for the four-day tournament. Louis Oosthuizen and Brooks Koepka finished two shots back at four-under.

Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka’s knee wasn’t the only the only thing sore after 72 holes on Sunday. The PGA Championship’s runner-up wasn’t happy about the raucous fans, saying his injured knee got “dinged a few times in the crowd.” The 31-year-old reported a sprained knee at the end of March that required surgery.
