Reds, Cubs and Braves win Friday night games

Jesse Winker hit three home runs and Tyler Naquin added one as the Cincinnati Reds downed the Milwaukee Brewers 9-4 last night ending a four game losing streak. Winker went 4-4 in the game while Jeff Hoffman went five innings in getting the pitching win. The teams play again this afternoon at Great American Ballpark, with pregame at 2:40 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

Elsewhere in the National League

The Chicago Cubs scored eight times in the 9th inning in routing the St. Louis Cardinals 12-3. The teams play again this evening at Busch Stadium.

he Atlanta Braves hit seven home runs including a pair from Austin Riley and a grand slam from Ronald Acuna, Jr. in crushing the Pittsburgh Pirates 20-8. Game three of the series is this afternoon at Truist Park.
