Ky. adds 588 COVID-19 cases, five new deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 588 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, along with five new deaths.

The positivity rate is at 2.77 percent, on pace with this week’s rate so far—there are currently 378 Kentuckians in the hospital with COVID-19, 108 in the ICU and 49 on a ventilator.  Five more deaths related to COVID-19 were reported, bringing the death toll up to 6,678.

Christian and Todd Counties remain ‘yellow’ on the state incidence rate map, but Trigg County is now ‘green’, which could indicate that the virus there is no longer listed as community spread.
