Man arrested on multiple charges after vehicle pursuit

An investigation and vehicle pursuit in Hopkinsville Tuesday morning ended with the arrest of a man on multiple charges.

Officers were notified about 5:30 a.m. that 41-year old Joshua Meacham of Hopkinsville was allegedly at a home on Keeton Drive kicking a garage door, while knowing the occupant of that home had taken out a domestic violence protective order against him.

As police approached the area, they saw Meacham traveling on the Eagle Way Bypass near Cox Mill Road and attempted to make a traffic stop. An arrest citation says he refused to stop and reached speeds of nearly 90 mph before turning right onto Canton Street.

He eventually came to a stop in the Food Lion parking lot and police say a K9 alerted on his vehicle

A search allegedly revealed anabolic steroids.

Meacham was arrested and charged with violation of a DVO, first-degree stalking, fleeing or evading police, trafficking in steroids and criminal mischief.
