Jason Heyward, Willson Contreras, and Javier Báez all hit home runs off former teammate Jon Lester as the Chicago Cubs defeated the Washington Nationals 7-3 at Wrigley Field. Chicago has won three of four. The Cubs and Nationals continue their four game series tonight.

The New York Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-1. Austin Riley hit a solo homer in the eighth for the Braves’ lone run. Max Fried gave up just one run in six innings but took the loss. Atlanta has dropped five-of-seven.

Following an off day, the St. Louis Cardinals return to action tonight hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates at Busch Stadium.

Atlanta Braves pitcher Huascar Ynoa will miss at least two months of action after breaking his hand on Sunday. The hurler punched a dugout bench following his outing in the finale loss of a three-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers and broke his right hand. Ynoa was officially placed on the 10-day injured list with a fractured pitching hand.
