Miller resigns as basketball coach, Watts signs collegiate letter

Hopkinsville will have a new boys basketball coach next season. Larry Miller announced his resignation Friday as he has accepted the head coaching position at Evangel Christian in the Louisville area, where he coached for many years. Miller was the Tiger head coach for the last three seasons, compiling a record of 37-36. Before that, he was an assistant for both the boys and girls programs.

Hopkinsville senior Alijah Watts signed his collegiate letter Friday to continue his basketball and academic career at Southwestern Illinois College. He averaged 15.2 points per game in his senior season for the Tigers.
