Ky. adds 674 COVID cases, Gov. Beshear will follow CDC guidance on masks

The positivity rate decreased once again in Kentucky, and Governor Andy Beshear reported 674 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.

The positivity rate is now 3.04 percent, a small decrease from the day before, and the governor also reported that 1.89 million individuals have now received at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The CDC released new guidance that those who have been fully vaccinated against the virus no longer have to wear face masks in most indoor locations and Governor Beshear says Kentucky will follow that guidance immediately.

The death toll in Kentucky is at 6,637.
