Rotary Club partnering with CCPS to launch Interact Clubs

After a wildly successful auction in April, the Rotary Club of Hopkinsville and the Christian County Public System are partnering to create Rotary Interact Clubs in the school system.

According to a news release from CCPS Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, the clubs would be at Christian County Middle and Hopkinsville Middle Schools, and would lunch in the 2021-2022 school year. If the programs are successful, the hope is to expand them into the high schools sometime in the future.

Interact Clubs are extensions of local Rotary Clubs and seek to bring together young people ages 12 to 18 to help develop leadership skills, while discovering the power of ‘Service Above Self’. Rotarians have pledged $30,000 over the next five years to fund both clubs and their sponsors.

The 2021-2022 Interact Sponsors are Kaydee Sevilla for Hopkinsville Middle School and Brittany Normile for Christian County Middle School.
