Reds thrash Pirates Monday-MLB Roundup

The Cincinnati Reds belted out 15 hits on the way to a 14-1 thrashing of the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. Tied 1-1 in the fourth, the Reds bats came alive for six runs. Reds outfielder Tyler Naquin hit a home run and a double while driving in four-runs to lead Cincy’s offense. The Reds and Pirates will meet up again tonight in Pittsburgh

The St. Louis Cardinals visit the Milwaukee Brewers tonight for the start of a three-game set. The Redbirds are coming off a three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies over the weekend.

The Chicago Cubs are in Cleveland today to open a two-game Interleague set against the Indians. The Cubs have won five of their last six.

The Atlanta Braves open a three-game series hosting the Toronto Blue Jays tonight at home. Atlanta is looking to build off back-to-back wins over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves are also looking for redemption as they were swept in a three-game series against the Blue Jays in Florida when the two met for the first time this season earlier this month.
