Local native killed in Louisville accident

A Hopkinsville native was killed in a single vehicle accident Friday night in Louisville.

Metro police tell WHAS TV that 26-year old Lexi Sabatino had been traveling in the 1500 block of Cherokee Road about 7 pm Friday when her vehicle went off the side of the road and struck a tree.

Sabatino was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was a Christian County native and a childhood cancer survivor.

The local Fraternal Order of Eagles annual poker run fundraiser was named in her honor, as the first one was to raise money for her as she battled cancer.
