A tornado touched down on the south side of Hopkinsville early Tuesday morning.
A National Weather Service survey team determined the EF0 twister touched down just east of the intersection of Eagle Way Bypass and Fort Campbell Boulevard at 5:12 a.m. and stayed on the ground for about 2.6 miles before going into the clouds just east of Casky Lane Extension.
The tornado carried 85 mph winds and was 75 yards wide.
At least four barns lost portions of their tin roofs or walls, several trees were uprooted or lost limbs and a narrow strip of wheat was blown down.
There were no injuries reported with the storm.
