The Cincinnati Reds finish up their home stand tonight when they host the Chicago White Sox for the first of two games. The Reds are now three-games behind Milwaukee and St. Louis for first-place in the NL Central and will send Jeff Hoffman to the hill to face White Sox righty Dylan Cease with first pitch at 5:40 p.m.

The Atlanta Braves are trying to bounce back and snap a four-game skid as they open their next three-game series against the Nationals tonight in Washington, DC. Last time these two faced off at the start of April, the Braves took the series with back-to-back wins.

Monday Night’s Scores

Nolan Arenado drilled a three-run homer in the bottom of the third as the St. Louis Cardinals held on to beat the New York Mets 6-5 at Busch Stadium. Adam Wainwright recorded his first win of the season and Alex Reyes posted his eighth save as the Redbirds won their fifth straight game. The series continues tonight.

The Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers will play a doubleheader at Wrigley Field today after yesterday’s opener of their three-game set was postponed due to rain. Chicago plans on sending right-hander Kyle Hendricks to the mound in game one against LA’s Clayton Kershaw. The Cubs’ Game 2 starter has yet to be determined.
