An Olmstead man was flown to a Nashville hospital Friday morning after a vehicle collided with the lawn mower he was operating in Logan County.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred in the 800 block of Lyne Johnson Road around 9 a.m. when 51-year old Christopher Hopper of Olmstead was mowing grass on a riding mower. He reportedly entered the roadway and was struck by a pickup truck operated by 76-year old Jerry Johnson of Olmstead.
Hopper was ejected from the mower upon impact, landing in a ditch off of the roadway. He was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries.
