Seven CCPS students chosen for Governor’s Scholars program

Seven Christian County Public School students have been selected as 2021 members of the Governor’s Scholars Program and seven have been selected as alternates.

According to a news release from CCPS Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, the Governor’s Scholars Program provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience. Statewide, almost 1,700 applications were submitted by aspiring students—those selected to the program attend free of charge.

The students selected from Hopkinsville High School are Grasen Givens, Abigail Moss, Allison Wood and William Knight.  From Christian County High School the students are Luke Luttrull, Jacob Stewart and David Woods.

The alternates chosen from both schools are Autumn Bell, Chloe Craft, Mary Baker, Jada Poindexter, Preston Chaudoin, Silas Jackson and Todd McKenzie.
