Allensville firefighters were able Sunday afternoon to save a home from fire by containing it to one area of one room.
Crews responded to 1163 Joe Gill Road a few minutes after 3:30 p.m. and determined the fire began in or near a built-in microwave and that it spread to the nearby cabinets and wall.
Firefighters were able to limit the damage to the immediate area, though there was some smoke in other areas of the house.
No one was injured in the blaze.
