Oak Grove woman allegedly fired gun toward husband, police officer

An Oak Grove woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after she allegedly fired a gun toward her husband and a police officer.

An officer was called to the home on Bumpus Mills Road a few minutes after 1 p.m. to check the welfare of 45-year old Carrie Zeveney, who had locked herself in a bedroom with a gun and threatened to harm herself.

A gunshot was heard coming from the bedroom and Zeveney allegedly fired another shot through the wall toward her husband and the officer who was talking to her.

She eventually emerged from the bedroom with the gun and a taser was used to bring her into custody.

Zeveney was charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

Alcohol is listed as a factor in the incident on the arrest citation.
