The Christian County Democratic Executive Committee is putting out the word that there will be Congressional District and Executive Committee member selection in April.
Virtual Conventions will take place at a statewide online Zoom meeting on April 10 at 9 a.m. Nominations for precinct delegates will go through April 12. To nominate yourself or someone else in you specific precinct or to participate as a voting member, call 833-468-6835. Each precinct is set to elect one male, one female and one youth 35 years of age or younger to vote for members to the Christian County Executive Committee and Congressional District Conventions.
The election process usually takes place during an election year, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Any Democrat registered in your precinct by April 8, 2021 can attend, nominate, and run for election to the Precinct Committee.
