The St. Louis Cardinals scored six times in the first inning in downing the Cincinnati Reds Thursday 11-6 at Great American Ball Park. Luis Castillo took the loss on the mound for the Reds, who got a big day offensively from Nick Castellanos, who went 3-5 with a double and a home run.
The teams are off on Friday and will play game two of the series Saturday afternoon with pregame at 2:40 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
