An Elkton woman was injured when she wrecked while trying to avoid a deer New Year’s Day morning.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Department report from Sgt. Adam Vanderkolk says 18-year old Jade Goodwin of Elkton was traveling east on Flat Lick Lane and looked down to turn her defrost on.
When she looked back up, there was a deer in the road and she swerved to miss the animal. Her car left the roadway, crossed a field and came to rest on Lafayette Road.
Goodwin was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for evaluation.
