Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger is calling it a career. The 68-year-old has decided to retire after 45 years in coaching. Kruger led the Sooners to seven NCAA Tournament appearances in 10 seasons. He’s also one of three coaches in history to take five different schools to the NCAA tournament. Kruger began as an assistant at Pittsburg State in 1976.

Grand Canyon University is mourning the loss of senior guard/forward Oscar Frayer. The school announced Frayer passed away in a car accident in northern California early Tuesday morning. Frayer’s older sister and another person were also killed in the crash. Frayer just started for GCU in its 86-74 loss to Iowa in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament last Saturday.
