A vehicle versus train crash Wednesday night in Caldwell County sent the driver to an area hospital.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office investigated and says 28-year old Macie Oliver of Princeton was southbound on Matt Rich Road and failed to yield the right of way at the railroad crossing to a westbound train.
Oliver initially refused medical treatment at the scene, but later had to be flown to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two juvenile passengers in the vehicle were not hurt.
