Murray man charged with meth trafficking

A Murray man is facing charges of drug trafficking following a traffic stop in Murray Saturday.

According to a news release from the Murray Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on South 12th Street, where the assistance of a K-9 allegedly revealed drugs in the vehicle.

They reportedly located approximately 8.5 grams of methamphetamine, other items of paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of cash.  Charged with trafficking in meth, improper turning and failure to signal is 34-year old Robert Simmons of Murray, who was lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
