Ky. adds 644 new COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 644 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday, along with 25 new deaths.

According to a news release, those 644 new cases bumps the overall total up to 420,512 since the pandemic began, and the positivity rate decreased down to 3.07 percent. There are now 457 people in the hospital due to the coronavirus, 111 in the ICU and 65 on a ventilator.

The death toll in the Commonwealth is up to 5,720, with no new deaths reported from the recent audit done on the state reporting system. Approximately 4.7 million COVID-19 tests have been administered in the state to date.
