Christian County won the 8th district title edging Hopkinsville 51-48. It was the Lady Colonels first title since 2019. Anaysia Bagwell led Christian County with 19 points in improving to 6-9 on the season and ending a seven game losing streak.Hopkinsville got 12 points each from Donisha Flowers and Jakayla Epps in falling to 2-9. Both teams will play in the 2nd region tournament that begins next Tuesday.
Members of the 8th District All-Tournament team were Alecia Davis and Amariya Bass of University Heights, Donisha Flowers, Lashanti Wilson and Jakayla Epps of Hopkinsville and Anaysia Bagwell, NeVeah Day, Trinity McGee and Mikayah Killebrew of Christian County.
