A trial date was set Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court for 21-year old Tyrese Hollowell, the man charged with the August 14 shooting death of 39-year old Tiffany Hinton Gray on East First Street.
Defense attorney Doug Moore told Judge John Atkins that it’s appearing less likely that he and the Commonwealth will reach a plea agreement and asked to schedule a jury trial.
Judge Atkins scheduled trial for October 25.
Hollowell is also charged with first-degree assault in connection with the shooting that also sent 17-year old Kanina Willingham to a Nashville hospital with severe injuries.
