The Christian County Health Department COVID-19 update on Thursday came with a significant number of backlogged cases.
The department reported 126 cases Thursday, but of those, only nine were newly reported cases—117 were backlogged, so there’s no new spike in number of COVID-19 cases in Christian County, but an audit of reporting databases has created an increase in total number of local coronavirus cases going all the way back to the beginning of the pandemic.
The overall total cases is at 6,376—of that, only 75 cases are considered active and 6,218 people have recovered from the virus. Christian County has had 83 COVID-19 related deaths.
