Austin Peay athletics director Gerald Harrison announced today the contract of women’s basketball coach David Midlick will not be renewed. Midlick led the Governors to an 85-88 record in his six seasons as head coach. Austin Peay appeared in six consecutive OVC women’s basketball tournaments during his tenure – one shy of the program record for an Governors head coach – but the Governors did not advance past their first game in any of those appearances.
Austin Peay was 12-11 this season after losing to Belmont in the OVC tournament last week.
