YMCA looking for lifeguards for the summer

The YMCA of Hopkinsville is getting ready for warmer weather and longer days, and they’re looking for lifeguards to man the swimming pools.

Joe Wilson with the YMCA appeared on WHOP Monday morning and says they’re looking for lifeguards that would monitor both the pool at the YMCA and Tie Breaker Aquatic Center.

He says the first certification to be a lifeguard will take place March 20, so he asks anyone interested to call the YMCA or contact them via email for more information and to apply.

Spots are limited, so Wilson encourages people to apply as soon as possible, as they do intend at this point to open the swimming pools this summer, after having been closed last summer due to COVID-19.
