Woman allegedly hit man with baseball bat

A Hopkinsville woman was arrested for felony assault Sunday after she allegedly struck a man with a baseball bat during a dispute on Campbell Street.

An arrest citation for 20-year old Malika Weaver of Hopkinsville says she was in a dispute with the father of her child at a home in the 800 block of Campbell Street just before 2 p.m.

When the man attempted to leave, Weaver reportedly blocked the door. Once the victim got the door open, Weaver allegedly struck him on the face with a bat, causing a large cut above his eye.

Weaver was arrested and charged with second-degree assault (domestic violence).
