College Football
The University of Kansas has placed head fcoach Les Miles on administrative leave. On Friday, the school made the move as a result of reports of misconduct when Miles was the coach at LSU. In a statement, Kansas Athletic Director Jeff Long said the school will look into the matter to figure out what proper actions need to be taken. The investigation that was recently made public also revealed LSU mismanaged complaints of sexual assault.

Corey Conners shot three-under Friday to extend his first-round lead at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando. Conners holds a one-stroke lead at nine-under over Martin Laird, who shot a five-under 67 in the second round. Rory McIlroy leads a group of three at seven-under while Bryson DeChambeau is alone at six-under, three shots off the pace heading into the weekend. Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker is tied for 65th at two over par.

Princeton’s Emma Talley fired a second round 80 Friday at the LPGA Tour’s Drive On Championship in Ocala, FL. Talley missed the cut.

Eight pitchers are being sent home from Houston Astros Spring Training camp in West Palm Beach, FL due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Houston manager Dusty Baker said Pedro Baez, Francis Martes, Cristian Javier, Hector Velazquez, and Enoli Parades were sent home yesterday while Bryan Abreu, Ronel Blanco, and Luis Garcia were sent away on Thursday. Sixteen of MLB’s 30 teams have had at least one player test positive for the virus since camp opened in the middle of February.
