Kentucky reports 1,025 new COVID cases Saturday

Governor Andy Beshear announced 1,025 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Saturday.

The positivity rate remained about steady at 5.56 percent, there were 765 Kentuckians hospitalized with the virus, 209 are in the ICU and 87 on a ventilator.

Another 25 Kentuckians have died, bringing the pandemic death toll to 4,625.

Christian and Todd County remain orange on the COVID incidence rate map, while Trigg is yellow. Caldwell and Lyon are the only red counties in the Pennyrile region.

Tennessee reported 1,374 new cases and 16 more deaths Saturday. Hospitalizations fell to 925 and the Volunteer State’s positivity rate is 5.93 percent.
