Public library back open to patrons

After numerous closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic and winter weather, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is once again open to their patrons.

Library Director Deanna Sova says she and her staff are thrilled to back in business, open each weekday and on Saturdays, with health guidelines still in place.

She says in the event they do need to close again for any reason, your library card opens up many avenues of virtual content that can be taken advantage of.

Their numerous programs are back open, including the Book-A-Bike program now that the weather is warming up—bikes are $1 with a library card and $5 without a card, and they can be checked out two at a time. They will also be hosting several events through the Big Read, such as a free virtual writing workshop Saturday at 11 a.m.  The Zoom link to the workshop can be found on the public library’s Facebook page under the event.
