Main roads improved, most secondary routes still snow and ice-covered

Road conditions are much improved on main routes this morning, but traveling still isn’t easy on secondary routes.

Christian, Todd, Trigg, Hopkins, Montgomery and Stewart County Schools are all closed, as is Heritage Christian Academy, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School, Fort Campbell Schools, Dawson Springs Independent Schools, Hopkinsville Community College, Murray State and Madisonville Community College. University Heights Academy is operating on a two hour delay.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Andy Sanderson says stay at home again if you have the option, but the main routes are much improved thanks to the efforts of road crews.

Dispatchers in Todd and Trigg County had similar reports—noting there weren’t many accidents in the overnight hours because folks were staying home.
