Christian County no longer red on COVID map, 769 new cases in Kentucky Saturday

The COVID numbers continue to improve for Kentucky, with Governor Andy Beshear reporting 769 new cases and 19 deaths Saturday and Christian County is no longer red on the state incidence rate map.

The positivity rate was 6.87 percent, 1,059 Kentuckians are in the hospital with the virus, 266 are in the ICU and 143 were on a ventilator.

Kentucky’s death toll now stands at 4,272.

Christian, Todd and Muhlenberg counties are now all orange on the map and Christian County has the lowest incidence rate in the Pennyrile region.

Meanwhile, Tennessee noted 1,792 new cases and nine more deaths. Hospitalizations dropped again in Tennessee to 1,154 and the positivity rate was 7.09 percent.
