Western Kentucky returned from a nearly three week layoff and downed Rice 77-71 in EA Diddle Arena Friday night. Charles Bassey had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Hilltoppers, now 14-4 on the season. The teams play again Saturday night with coverage at 6:30 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
In the women’s game, Rice defeated WKU 64-55 in Houston Friday afternoon. The Lady Toppers fell to 6-11 with the teams playing again Saturday at 4 pm.
