The University of Kentucky opened its season Friday with a pair of wins at Samford 4-0 in game one and scoring eight times in the first inning of the nightcap in winning 15-3. Former Christian County standout Emmy Blane didn’t have an official at bat in either game. The teams meet again Saturday afternoon.
