The Christian County Health Department reported 22 new cases of COVID-19 locally Friday.
Broken down, there were 17 new cases reported Thursday and five on Friday—it brings the overall total up to 5,970. Of that, 456 cases are considered active and 5,436 people have recovered from the virus.
Christian County has had 78 COVID-19 related deaths.
