Muhlenberg Co. man charged with meth trafficking

Kentucky State Police have arrested a Muhlenberg County man on charges of methamphetamine trafficking following a traffic stop in Drakesboro.

According to a news release, troopers were patrolling on Cardinal Drive in Drakesboro when they observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and initiated a traffic stop.  Contact was made with the driver, 45-year old James Earl Hayes of Greenville, and it was allegedly discovered he, as a convicted felon, was trafficking methamphetamine, in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, pills, and a handgun.

Hayes is charged with trafficking in meth, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a marijuana, and multiple traffic violations.
