NHL

The Nashville Predators will try to get back into the win column tonight when they open a two-game series against the Florida Panthers in Sunrise. The two teams will also play tomorrow night. Nashville lost its last two to the Lightning in Tampa. The Preds are 4-5-and-0, while the Panthers are 5-0-and-1.

NBA

The Menphis Grizzles host the Houston Rockets tonight in their first home game since January 18th. Memphis had its seven-game winning streak snapped Tuesday at Indiana. Houston had its six-game winning streak halted last night with a loss at Oklahoma City. The Grizzlies are 9-and-7.

NFL

The NFL is full steam ahead preparing for Super Bowl 55. NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith tells ESPN he doesn’t see any scenario where they would agree to move the Super Bowl. Smith touched on how the league guided through a difficult season with COVID-19, but still finished the regular season on time. Tampa Bay meets Kansas City Sunday in Tampa.

Former NFL coach Marty Schottenheimer is in hospice following complications from Alzheimer’s disease. His family says he has in stable condition at a hospice facility near his home in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 77-year-old spent 21 seasons as an NFL head coach.

Golf

Kentuckians Justin Thomas and JB Holmes are in the field for the PGA Tour’s Waste Management Open that begins today at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona.
