Fire damaged a home on Colonel Drive in Hopkinsville Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville fighters were called to the 100 block of Colonel about 4:30 p.m. and found flames and smoke coming from the front of the home, according to HFD Public Information Officer Payton Rogers, who says the fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.

The lone occupant of the home got out prior to firefighters arriving and will be displaced by the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The American Red Cross was called to assist.
