Three teens injured in Calloway County crash, driver charged with DUI

Three teens were injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday night in Calloway County and the driver is facing criminal charges.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office says a 16-year old male from Dickson, Tennessee was northbound at a high rate of speed on Highway 641 near the state line about 8:15 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and his pickup went off the roadway and struck several poles, a guardrail, fence and two buildings before coming to rest.

The driver and his two passengers, another 16-year old male and 18-year old Jose Quinton of Dickson, Tennessee, all fled the scene and were located shortly after.

All three were transported to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was charged with DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, menacing, disorderly conduct and leaving the scene of an accident.
