Hopkinsville Sportsplex set to reopen to group activities

The Planters Bank Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex in Hopkinsville is gearing up to once again open the public on February 1, after being closed for 84 days.

According to a news release, the Sportsplex will be resuming limited open gym offerings and group activities—including batting and golf cages returning to appointment-only, as space allows, league games with capacity limits, rentals for team practices and more.

Face masks will be required to be worn at all times, temperature checks will be taken upon entry to the campus, COVID-19 surveys will need to be filled out and there will hand sanitizer stations readily available.

Sportsplex Facility Coordinator Tony Henson says, “We are beyond appreciative for the patience and understanding of our guests and supporters during the past few months. The health and safety of our visitors is paramount, which is why we will take and have taken appropriate measures to responsibly resume more activities.”

Additionally, the Sportsplex will be extending the expiration date of all Annual Passes, that were purchased before November 9, by three months, making up for the time when the facility was closed for open gym.
