Kentucky reports 2,018 new COVID cases Sunday

Governor Andy Beshear announced 2,018 new coronavirus cases and 35 additional deaths Sunday.

The positivity rate again fell to 10.24 percent, 1,540 Kentuckians are in the hospital with the virus, 371 are in the ICU and 218 are on a ventilator.

Kentucky’s pandemic death toll now stands at 3,421.

All but six of Kentucky’s 120 counties remain red on the incidence rate map, including the entirety of western Kentucky.

Tennessee’s Department of Health noted 2,841 more cases and 40 new deaths. Hospitalizations dropped to 2,128 and the Volunteer State’s positivity rate is 9.78 percent.
